Role:
Experience Design Architect (1yr 4 mos)
Overview:
During my time at Slalom Build I worked on the the Carlotz mobile app, on Fiserv’s internal banking software and helped design and build out a scalable design system and library for an e-document signing company. In addition to my role as Experience Design Architect, I participated in the people management and design direction for two cohorts of interns.
Carlotz Mobile App
About the Project:
I helped design the first iteration and release of the consumer facing mobile app for CarLotz that officially launched in March 2022. This MVP version of the app was designed to meet both consumer and business goals. After being acquired by Shift, the app was permanently removed from the app store in 2023.
Fiserv - B2B Accounting Software
About the Project:
This project focused on modernizing Fiserv’s B2B software for credit unions to manage their accounting and general ledgers. This was a classic case of a powerful and successful program with a very outdated UI for credit union employees to navigate. With an increase in competition, Fiserv prioritized updating their UI in order to stay competitive. While legacy users had grown accustomed to using the clunky interface, newly trained employees had a huge learning curve that could all be eliminated with thoughtful design. I worked on data heavy interfaces enhancing: Reconciliation, debits/credits, sub-ledgers, rule allocation, batch processing and reporting. This was a responsive web focused project that I am unable to showcase due to confidentiality agreements. Please reach out to directly, I’m happy to talk through the whole process.

Design System - eDocument Signing
About the Project:
One of the first projects I worked on at Slalom Build was helping a client build out an entire design library with re-usable components to increase the team velocity for design output. The process started with working with their design team to identify a full list of elements and components needed. Utilizing their brand standards I build reusable color and font tokens to be incorporated within all the design elements needed. Using Adobe XD (now retired), I delivered a full deign system the team started using right away within their projects. The company now has since been bought and merged into a larger eDocument signing company and I am unable to showcase due to confidentiality agreements.
