Position held:

Senior Interactive Designer

Overview:

My primary responsibility was designing emails and digital inbox experiences for multiple clients. I translated multiple client brand guidelines and marketing strategies on a day to day basis. My UX expertise did play a role for certain projects. A few select projects to call out include Panera Bread email templates, Mizuno email signup and additional email work.

Panera Bread Email Templates

About the project:

Brightwave formed a new relationship with a 3rd party company Moveable Ink. We wanted to infuse their technology with a major email client, Panera Bread. Part of there technology allows real time data to be shown within each individual client on an email list. Opening the same email at different times allowed for different experiences.

Since we were testing this out, we played it relatively safe to see how customers reacted. We created a small campaign with various emails. One used a real-time countdown clock and another used a real-time voting poll while maintaining brand standards.

Mizuno Email Sign-up

About the project:

Mizuno was looking for a more engaging modal pop-up on their website to help drive customers to sign-up to be on their emailing list. While pop-ups typically get low interaction, if a user did interact with it we wanted to make sure it was more interesting than their current experience.

We decided to bring the most popular sport types out of the dropdown selection and engage with a question. This felt more like a conversation and gave the customers a more personalized approach. We also added in more brand focused verbiage and graphical elements to make it look sleeker.

Additional Email Work

About the project(s):

I helped create emails for many clients including: Chick-fil-A, Carmax, Panera Bread, Aflac, Mizuno, Equifax, Floor & Decor, Mattress Firm, Phillips 66, Rheem, Graphic Packaging International & UPS.

Each of these emails had different goals in mind. Some more creative than others but all had the purpose of driving customer engagement. While email marketing may not seem like a powerful medium, it’s actually one of the cheapest and drives a ton of user engagement done correctly. Emails really become the voice of the brand when the user may not be physically at a store or using a particular product. They are great ways to follow up with customers and keep brands relevant in someone's day-to-day routine.
